21st Century Systems, Inc. Launches Scryer™

Scryer, a directions kiosk with a 3-D display, is 21CSI's most recent commercial product. Unveiled in Omaha's Peter Kiewit Institute at the end of January, the Scryer has been helping students and other visitors find their way to offices and classrooms. Built with 21CSI's Decision Support technology, the Scryer has a touch-screen menu and keyboard for visitors to select their destination or the location of a specific room. The Scryer provides both a typical topview map and 3-D "fly-through" directions to that destination. Fast-to-display vector graphics of each location provide a detailed view of landmarks seen enroute to help the user quickly and efficiently get to their destination. Scryer can be used for multi-building complexes as well as single buildings. “Scryer is a perfect example of how we, at 21CSI, can take confusing circumstances and make it easy and readily understandable to the user. This system is another illustration of ‘decision support’ in action. Its uses are both varied and endless” says Jeffrey Hicks, 21CSI’s CEO. When the Scryer is not providing directions, advertising and public announcements can be displayed, providing the opportunity for the site owner to increase their exposure and generate revenue.
