21CSI Teams with the US Army Reserve in Employer Partnership

21st Century Systems, Inc. (21CSI) announced that it is taking part in an employer partnership initiative with the US Army Reserve. Created as a way to connect employers with talented soldiers who are serving the nation in a “part-time” capacity, the Employer Partnership is designed as a win-win collaboration providing employers with motivated, highly skilled labor at a significantly reduced recruiting and training cost. The Army Reserve Soldier then has two careers, one with the reserve and one with the employer partner, thus providing greater financial stability to their family and additional avenues to reach their career goals.

In a formal kick off of the program, 21CSI CEO, Jeffrey D. Hicks, joined Nebraska Governor Dave Heineman, Congressman Lee Terry and Brigadier General Charles Joseph Barr for a signing. During the ceremony, Mr. Hicks remarked that, “not only is our country stronger due to the efforts of these soldiers but, as an aggressive employer of military veterans, so is 21CSI.”

As a software technology and service company, 21CSI has a long history and close ties with the US military. One of every five 21CSI employees are veterans, and two-thirds of its senior management have served in the military. In February 2009, 21CSI received the Patriot Award from Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) in recognition of the company’s support to its employees who are “citizen soldiers.”

“I look forward to working with the US Army Reserve in making the Employer Partnership a success,” said Hicks. No one is better equipped to build software for the warfighter than other warfighters. ”
