21CSI Announces Strategic Agreement with Infoterra GmbH

Premier decision support and World Class satellite radar Providers bring high resolution data in near real-time to US ARLINGTON, Va., March 03, 2009 — 21st Century Systems, Inc. (21CSI) announced it has entered into an agreement with Infoterra GmbH (Infoterra) as U.S. distributor of its satellite based synthetic aperture radar (SAR) TerraSAR-X Services. In a meeting today at 21CSI’s Arlington office, the CEO’s of both companies met to finalize the agreement.

By signing the agreement, 21CSI will market, distribute, service and support data and data processing capabilities from Infoterra in the U.S., a market that is estimated to be $100 million annually. As such, the agreement allows the companies to create a comprehensive offering to a broad marketplace that includes defense, homeland security and commercial applications.

“21CSI is extremely proud to be a U.S. distributor of Infoterra TerraSAR-X Services. We expect that this will open a host of doors, allowing us to offer a wealth of new and innovative solutions to current and future customers,” remarked Jeffrey D. Hicks, chairman and CEO 21CSI. “As a provider of data driven decision support software with ongoing military and intelligence- related contracts, we could not think of a better alliance than with one of the World’s premier SAR satellite service providers, Infoterra.”

Under this agreement, 21CSI will distribute data products and derived services from the high-resolution TerraSAR-X satellite. TerraSAR-X delivers responsive, highly accurate geo-spatial data that is daylight and weather independent. Once downloaded, 21CSI will process the data, placing it in the proper format and modifying it per customer specifications. 21CSI’s currently provides IT products to U.S. customers including Department of Defense (DoD) and other Agencies pertaining to Homeland Security and Civil Defense. The company intends to leverage its current client base in the effort to expand demand for TerraSAR-X Services in the U.S. In addition to government agencies, customers with a need for studying climate changes and weather patterns are expected, along with many others that rely on high resolution images of the earth’s surface for everything from day-to-day tasks to major undertakings.

SAR Products provided by TerraSAR-X have significant advantages compared to traditional images provided as photographs, collected by aircraft. By using radar satellites, images of areas in difficult to reach or restricted areas can be acquired where aircraft cannot fly.

Joerg Herrmann, Infoterra GmbH Managing Director, is equally glad to establish a partnership with 21CSI: “We are always delighted to add partners to our network that have already established a leading market position. We are convinced that 21CSI is the ideal partner to bring our TerraSAR-X Services to a promising customer base in the US.”

21CSI will direct the distribution, service, support, and training for the TerraSAR-X satellite products’ from its Nebraska base of Omaha and McCook, leveraging the strategic location of its US office network.
